blanket

Our son, Carson, passed away tragically in an accident during birth (39wks 2days, 8lbs 12 oz, 22 inches long). We never got to bring him home subsequently never being able to use any of his blankets & clothes. We packed them up in a large tote and have been working our way through the grief process as we go. I feel bad that the only memories I have of some of the earthy belonging are those of them sitting besides him at his funeral service. No one ever prepares you for death especially one so early. The one thing that I am making an extra point of with our baby on board, Damon, is I use his soft blue blanket across my belly to snuggle with him. Although there is no reason why I should expect anything to happen to Damon after Carson's death I can't help but to brace for the worst. This blanket will be ten times more special when I get to wrap him up in it to take him home. Just a quick story/ thought for all of the moms out there. Please never take for granted that you are able to have babies. Every baby is a true miracle!

That must have been so hard. I'm so sorry for your loss :( I hope your son will see that blanket as something special and hold onto it forever!
Congrats on your new upcoming arrival and you will know that you have an angel watching over you always!
