I went all natural with my first baby. No epidural no pain killers. As much as contractions do suck, I'm glad I had the FULL experience and it was wonderful. As soon as you're baby comes out and the placenta you feel brand new. I'm good at tolerating pains. But if you're not get an epidural there's no reason to suffer

The worst part is the contractions. I was still in a good mood all the way through, i handle pain good though so i guess that has a lot to do with it too. After i got my epidural i was smiling and laughing the whole time with my family. My husband was more tense than me. Lol. Just remain calm, you'll be fine.

I had my first baby on March 5th and labor really isn't as bad as everyone portrays it to be. Worst part for me was the contractions. It's like period cramps on steroids. The epidural wasn't even bad. Good luck

Expect the unexpected because anything can happen! I feel like some women get such a plan down that they get upset if it doesn't work out and sometimes it just can't! As far as things that usually always happen are pain, definitely pain! Depending on your personality, stress and anxiety! Excitement! I think that if a woman gets an epidural it's easier for the experience to be deeper emotionally rather than focusing on the pain first (unless you cope well with pain!) after my epidural I was relaxed, the nurses were super kind and helpful and I was just excited for everything to happen! For me, it was one of the most uniquely enjoyable moment of my life! Good luck and congrats (:

Contractions hopefully support and a calm environment also nurses and doctors coming in and out a lot and calling a nurse to come in with a cup of ice every 15 minute lol i probably drove them crazy but hey they say you cant eat so wht else can you do other than that its a beautiful experience and i hope you enjoy it

It's going to be a beautiful thing. It's not going to be as bad as you think.
