yes. i went yesterday and they sent me home. and said come back when there three to five mins apart. it's my first baby. it's like horrible menstrual cramps. they come on the dot and last thirty sec some Time's longer. would this be same feeling If baby was engaging.

If they're not unbearable then it's probably too soon to go in. I was told to come in if my contractions were 3-5 minutes apart or I couldn't walk/talk/breath through them. Have you tried taking a bath or shower at all? The hot water can help the pain a little bit. Most women have to find their own comfort zone and what works best for them. Sometimes being on all fours helps, counter pressure, lying on your side, walking, etc all might help.

If they're really painful or unbearable you can go now. The worst is that they'll send you home. Good luck!
