I Was Able To Pump Ahead Of My Sons Schedule And HaD Extra Milk On Hand. Some Women ProduceA Little Milk And Others It Seems Like Too Much. Its Going To To Come Down To What Feels Right For You And Baby....You Will Only Know When The Baby Arrives! Don't Let Either Family Make You Feel Bad, Just Listen To Your Instincts.
Here in CA 7 cans of Enfamil is about $160 and that lasts about a month for us. And if you do pump you'll be confined to the pump every 2 to 4 hours cause that's how often baby will feed plus you'll probably need a freezer stash for when you're away.

I think I'll pump from the beginning I I hope I don't dry up bit of I do a few mounts of breast milk will begreat cost wise. I hope it does not sound selfish of me not wanting her to only want the boob. Lol I want help sometimes this go around!! Don't all mommys haha
You Probably Won't Dry Up If You Pump Regularly!
I WeaNed My Son At Four Months. I Pumped And Gave Him Bottles, It Was Easy At That Age. Maybe You Could Try To Pump From The Start If You're Worried About The New Baby Never Wanting To Switch
I just dont wanna have that STUCK feeling again. I have a nice breast pump (obvisly never really used it with my daughter) but I think I'll try n pump from the beginning and feed her that till I start to dry up then introduce formula I don't get Wic so I'm worried about how much money it will cost to buy formula every week.
Thanks for all the opinions girls greatly appreciated :)
My daughter took a bottle great - until I had too go to the hospital for an unscheduled surgery and she got fed formula while I was gone. She breastfed for another year after that and never took the bottle again. I know it's a pain, but I would do it all over again. Breastfeeding is so good for both of you that I couldn't ever make the choice to formula feed. I agree that introducing the bottle earlier might help.
There are also other ways to feed babies expressed milk. None are as convenient as bottles, but cups, spoons, and medicine droppers all get the job done.
Just introduce the bottle sooner and see if that works. Also I know my daughter wouldnt take a bottle if I was around I had to at least be out of the room once she knew what was going on.
I'm personally formula feeding my family has always done it but you can pump and formula feed that'll be easier for you
I'm dealing with the same thing. I'm still in the process of breaking my son from the boob. He's 15 months! It's a process to break boys off the breast. But with this baby I will still breastfeed. I will probably introduce the bottle sooner than what I did with my son and break him or her from the breast sooner than one. Hope this helps!
