FTM 8 Days To go .. Dialating?

My Due Date Is in 8 Days.. How Do I Know If Im Dialating or Not? My Midwifes dont check unless im in labor :/

That's crazy usually they start checking around 37 weeks. Have you asked them to check because they shouldn't have an issue checking. But if they don't you'll just have to wait it out not really a way to know

She checked once but it was to see if i had any infection

That would frustrate me knowing someone could tell me if I'm at least progressing but doesn't.

I heard your discharge increases when you thin out or dilate  and it becomes thicker

change clinics the one you go to seems lame ! they should be able to check you if you have dialated yet

Same here I'm 38 weeks 4 days and never been checked :( and I've been getting a loooot more discharge lol I always think it's my water braking but it's more watery not thick^^

Dont be afraid to ask  your doctors...any questions... .. You are so far along..  You will be in labor soon.  No...news...can be good news;)

I always ask but they say the same thing every week . That the baby is pushing down and that hes gonna be here soon

I'm 38 weeks and they haven't checked me. And as far as the discharge mine is decreasing

I would demand they check. Theres no medical reason that they cant. I would be pretty angry. Im 34 weeks and they,said they would start checking around 36 weeks for me. I would say am i dialated? And when they say hes pushing down should be soon i would say no, thats not what i asked, am i dialated??????

Yeah they've been checking me since 36wks & im 38 wks and will be getting checked tomorrow . You ladies have to ask them to check !, if they're not offering .

It depends where ur from as in uk it's not 'standard' practice to check us unless were in labour but I guess there's no harm in asking for a check or a sweep

I am 39w5d and havent been checked yet either. I am getting checked at my appointment tomorrow finally so we can plan how to induce I guess. I was told that there is not significance in getting checked just because you can be dilated at 3 for weeks or you can go 0-10 in hours. It doesnt really tell them anything.
