when is a good time to put the car seat in yhe car? should i just put the base in and wait until i go to the hospital to put the actual car seat in ot should i put it all in at once??

I'm waiting till I'm maybe like 2 weeks out and gonna put in the car just in case. I have to still wash and prep for her arrival in 7 weeks. I have yet to get the car seat and big stuff yet.

I'm not trying to be mean, sorry if this comes across that way but I wonder all the time why people put the car seat in their car at all before the birth. I have three kids and have never put the car seat in the car. There isn't a need for it. When my kids were born, I knew we would be staying overnight, so my husband would just bring it on the day of discharge.

I put my base in my car around 32 weeks, only because I kept going into preterm labor and everyone, including the doctor didn't think I would go past 35 weeks.... I went 41 haha

I'm putting it in and getting his hospital bag ready in about 4 weeks(I'll be  turning 33 weeks) because I'm traveling 1000 miles to go see family for a couple weeks lol. I don't see the point in putting it in until you are ready to pop lol.
