I was diagnosed with pneumonia today and sent home with antibiotics and put on bed rest for a week. I can't completely rest as Im on my own at the moment with my three other children. Im worried that this could effect my baby. Has anyone else had pneumonia during pregnancy?

I think i was about 19 weeks give or take when I had it too, if that makes you feel better :)

Thanks, I think I just needed to hear from someone else who had been through it. Im 19 weeks. It is really hard to rest as I have to look after my other children, get them to school and do the shopping etc. I guess I'll just have to give myself more time to do everything and rest as much as possible in between. I can't do anything too quickly as I run out of breath. Fingers crossed the antibiotics start working soon.

I had pneumonia while pregnant with my daughter. i was put on a safe antibiotic and cough syrup and was fine in no time. You will be fine and so will your baby. Don't worry! Just get lots of rest and keep hydrated.

I just got over it a few weeks ago. Was so bad i also was put on steroids and neb treatments at home. I felt better about a week later and baby is just fine. How far along are you?
