yeah i guess it would matter what country you live in...i was assuming you live in the united states but if you live in canada thats even better!!
I live in Canada and we don't need a prescription here at any age other than in Quebec. So you should look at where you live because I guess it does vary.
i just purchased a morning after pill 2 days ago and you need a prescription if your under 17. over 17 you can get it at your local pharmacy.
i dont believe this is a state law because im looking right now and printed on the box it says "rx only for women younger than age 17"
I believe to buy it you have to be 18 years old. Anything under that you need to have parents with you.
Can you get a morning after pill?
its definitely a possibility but ive had sex tons of times with my now husband and he went inside of me almost everytime and didn't get pregnant for 5 months.. it just depends on when your ovulating if your cycles are irregular at all then you won't know for sure when you will ovulate. mine are irregular by a few days and i would try to count my days but that didn't work this time as i ovulated late and got pregnant.
i think you should get a morning after pill. you have a 72 hour window to take it... but its the most effective if you take it within the first 24 hours after unprotected sex. you have to have a prescription if your under 17, so you would need a doctor to get one.
other than that idk what to tell you. i completely understand about you not wanting your parents to find out, i was the same way and there was no way i was going to talk to them about something like that.
if your not pregnant i highly suggest you get on birth control. if your in the us most states have health clinics that you can go to and get free birth control. all you have to do is tell them you have no income. also planned parenthood will offer birth control.
i hope your not pregnant!! :)
It is really good that you are using protection having sex. However, you need to know that you can't just get pregnant ANY day of the month. If you are anywhere within a week of ovulation, I'd say it is possible for you to get pregnant. Most women with regular cycles usually ovulate about 14 days BEFORE their expected period. You may want to consider a morning after pill, but I'm not sure that at your young age it is actually legal to sell it to you? I'm not sure how it works. You seem to be freaked out about your parents knowing you are having sex, but they may be the people to ask for advice. Best wishes :)
