Thank you both so very much
Foods manufactured in the USA will be pasteurized. It should say on the bottle either pasteurized and/or made in the USA.
Look up "listeria," and read about its effect in pregnancy, and then copy out the comments about how it might happen in food. That was the most useful information I got about food when pregnant. Oh, besides generally not pigging out and avoiding fatty junk. :)
The blue cheese im talking about is kraft rodka blue cheese dressing and dip. I love it on salads and with buffalo wings. Are there any other foods i should stay clear of?
If the blue cheese you are interested in eating is manufactured in the U.S., you can go ahead and eat it, it will be pasteurized. It's a health law here, I believe. You will see it noted on the label of the cheese. You can eat any cheese you want if it is pasteurized. Therefore, if you are talking about a standard, commercial blue-cheese dressing sold in the U.S., (i.e., not about a fancy restaurant that uses imported blue cheese and makes its dressing by hand), it will be made with pasteurized blue cheese. Probably the bottle or jar will also say it is pasteurized.
