contractions

Hi, I'm 36w and 6d. Yesterday around 1pm I started having contractions that were more intense than the BH I had been having. These new contractions became regular and were as close as 5 & a half minutes apart. They each lasted about a minute. I called the labor and delivery floor and they said when they get 5 min apart and are consistently uncomfortable to come to the hospital. They were for the most part uncomfortable even painful. Then this afternoon they seemed to have gone away. Has anyone had a similar experience or have any advice?

I have been going through this since last week. I am also 36w 6d. I had an apt today though and Dr doesn't think ill make it through the night. I was in labor and delivery for 12 hrs last week contractions were 2 min apart and everything stopped.

I had that for a total of 6 days before going into labor. I hated it, cause you would get excited thinking maybe today then things would stop.
Actually when they admitted me to l & d after I took a bath there my contractions almost came to a stop.
