quick question?

Hey ladies. So today i am 38 weeks....and 3 cms dilated and so my doctor went ahead and stripped my membranes. Well i have been getting cramps and having contractions off and on. My question is tho only the upper half of my belly is getting hard? so is that a real contraction or just bh?

I would time them and see if they stay consistent. I had bad cramping after they stripped my membranes and went into labour the next day. Bh contractions if consistent can turn into real contractions which is the period cramping more then the tightening. Most but not all experience back labour. Hopefully this is the start to your labour!

I had the same thing . Its more of a braxton hicks then a true labor contraction . Youll know when its a contraction momma :) I'm 40+1 and you will have some cramping maybe back pain , but the co traction usually radiates from the back to the abdomen or goes from the top of the abdomen all the way down with tightening . If your unsire just run it by your doctor cause everyone is different . But cramping is normal after membranes stripping . But if anything no matter what time the contractions that matters the most
