Whenb you go to wic and they ask you if you are planning to breast feed or formula feed does it really matter and why? What are some pros and cons

Rent a pump? They gave me one. ^ 2ndbabyduefeb13th. Is that even safe to use a used pump?

If u sag ur breastfeeding they offer a little bit more food to nourish you and they orepare to give u a breast pump to rent out after baby us born. Id u say u will bottlefeed, then they start to give u formula as soon as baby is born and they dont give u as much info or food to nourish u as if u were breastfeeding. Its your choice :-)

My sister in law breastfed my nephew for almost a year and always said she was formula feeding so they gave her formula and she saved it up for just in case she didn't produce milk anymore. And she'd give some away to her cousin that desperately needed it..so either way it's not going to waste :)

They are very pro breastfeeding because it's better for the baby. There are so many beneficial factors regarding breastfeeding. if you are not going to breastfeed they will give you formula on your vouchers. I'm not against anyone who chooses formula but you should really consider breastfeeding your baby, it's so much healthier for them.

They give you more food if you breastfeeding. If you say your formula feeding you get less food and if you do both you SHOULD tell them you completely formula feeding just so you stack up on milk don't tell them you doing both they dont have to know you breastfeeding still cuz if You will hardly get any formula.

Well all I know is that they would rather you breastfeed your baby but if you don't want to breastfeed or baby won't latch they give you baby formula..I think lol

they ask if you're going to breast feed or feed formula because they offer breast feeding classes. they also show you how to use a breast pump! :) in my opinion (I'm a FTM) I'm going to breast feed cause of all the health benefits it provides for my baby. there's nothing wrong with formula, but I want to breast feed for as long as I can to help with my baby's immune system :)
