I'm seventeen and almost nine weeks. I don't have insurance at all. I don't know how to go about getting a doctor. Any ideas?

I am going to try to apply tomorrow and also call ss. I have a year left of school and am also in the process of joining the air force. I won't leave my schooling unless I have a high school diploma and walk across the stage. Was going to try to graduate this summer but my school won't allow it unless you're behind but I'm ahead

Im also in texas and you can get Medicaid online. Once you apply it takes 15-40 days to get an active insurance card. But before then they'll send you a letter saying you've been accepted once you get that most doctors will see you if you bring it as proof. Id recommend the superior plan they cover more stuff and you get 3 ultrasounds instead of just one and 2 like the other plans. How far are you from finishing school? You can finish online during the summer that might make it easier on you. Or get your g.e.d but I wouldn't do that unless you feel like you have to. Then at least you'd be in control of your life especially with a baby on the way.

If your leaving with your bf tell your mom to make you a letter that she aproves or she agrees that your both leaving together and just tell her to sign it...im also from tx but im 19 so I just did that letter and it help

I tried telling my mother but she is in huge denial and moving me thirteen hours from the dad. I am eighteen in a month but Texas law states me being in school I'm under her control unless I'm married and we don't wanna get married only because I'm pregnant. I did get told though that being seventeen I can apply online for mememe

ugh I was the same I had to do a lot of paper work...i was almost 2 months when I went to the doctor I have chip I dont have medicaid you should try and look for a clinic where they can see you sooner the better make sure you always have your id with you some doctors wont see you without an id

Well first off congrats. As far as insurance you can go to any human resources office and fill out an application for Medicaid. The will process the application and full confirmation takes about 40 days so until you receive the insurance card they will give you a letter as proof for your doctor visits until the insurance kicks in. You can also try at a local clinic because sometimes they have those services available as well. Have you been taking your vitamins & what not?

If your in the us, you need your mom to apply for pregnancy Medicaid for you... good luck hun
