Labor hurts period. Induction just starts labor. They normally do it by iv but not always. Most of the ways are painless but some are uncomfortable.
Well forme they put a dissolving pictocin pill on my cervix. That didn't hurt but i wouldn't dilate so they used the water balloon thing now that hurt. Then they had to break my water.
I have been induced with 2 of my pregnancies and I prob will be with this pregnancy to. They just gave me a iv with pitocin and ended up breaking my water. It wasn't painful unill the contractions started they say they hurt more with being induced. I wouldn't know the difference since I have only ever been induced. I also had an epidural so I didn't really feel anything but some pressure after I got that. The contractions before I got the epidural did hurt but it wasn't anything I wasn't already expecting. For me my labor went pretty quick after starting pitocin with my first baby I had her after 12 hrs and with my second I had her just after 8 hrs. So I have had really good experiences both times.
