Cramping for past 4 hours?

Is this early sign of labour?i been having menstrual cramps for past 4 hours and they are on and off is this a sign of early labour

It could be. With my son I felt like I had period cramps before I went to bed then woke up around 4 in the morning when it got worse walked around alot to make sure it was actually labour and not going away and ended up going in to the hospital at around 7 had him at 5:45pm:)

My due date is Tuesday.  I'm 39 weeks and 5 days

Sounds like braxton hicks to me. Unless they are getting stronger and closer together then that's prolly what they are. I'm actually having them now. Braxton hicks are also not steady

How far along are you?
I'm 39+2 and I've had this for the past week, along with Braxton hicks. It's your body gearing up for labour. Pre labour some people call it :)
