Sleeping issues/ Boy or girl?

Every since I found out that I was pregnant I've been having issues sleeping :( I'm only six weeks and 4 days but when I sleep on my right side my left side get numbed and tingly plus I can't seem to get comfortable and on top of that I have the most random dreams/nightmares EVERY night!! Any advice?? Also (off topic) I have my heart set on having a boy but my family thinks it's a girl bc I've been sick with morning sickness alot (which I haven't experienced in days)  and my stomach already has a "pudge"..... Any advice on either subject????

Your symptoms don't tell what gender you're going to have. I had hyperemesis while pregnant and had a girl, but it wasn't influenced by her gender. Many women will have a belly in early pregnancy due to bloat and retention - it definitely is not from baby, and won't be for a few more weeks.

If you can't sleep on your left side, don't. You can sleep on your stomach or right if you prefer. I slept on my stomach until I was 35 weeks.

It's also worth mentioning, something like 80% of women will experience nausea/vomiting while pregnant.

Ya no it doesnt mean much, pregnancy symptoms are due to the hormones that  YOU are producing and are not influenced by the gender... as far a sleeplessness goes thats a very common complaint... i am 13 w 2 days and am still not sleeping... and so far this pregnancy the  nausea has been extrememly unpredictable and had come and went thru the whole time, so just a word of warning that just because youve had a break doesnt mean it wont come back, oh and i didnt actually start puking till my 9th week!... my last pregnancy i was sick as a dog the whole first 14 weeks...

Everyone told me it was a girl because I have been so constantly sick and throwing up all the time. I'm 21 weeks and were having a boy! Don't listen to what everyone says ;) just pray for a happy healthy baby!

Exactly, I did not have any morning sickness with either pregnancy and I am having my second girl. It is not based on gender and is soley based on hormones. And as far as a bump that will also vary from women to women, I show really early, that is just me, but at the beginning I know my bump was bloating and not baby, baby and uterus are still so small at your stage that they cant physically made a bump yet. Good luck and hopefully your morning sickness ends soon. And like Clysta says, you are really early in pregnancy, you can sleep however you like and however you are comfortable, back-stomach-side, maybe try a body pillow, mine really helps me sleep.

To touch on the baby subject.  I've had 3 boys with terrible hyperemisis... I needed a pic line it got so bad.. I'm now pregnant with a girl and I've still had hyperemisis.. so it has nothing to do with the sex of the baby.  Its just old wives tales :)
