I've been taking 50,000 units weekly since around week 20. I'm 32 weeks now and I really think it has helped! I am in the Midwest too, finally seem to be free of winter. Natural sugars like fruit can also give you an energy boost, too. Or chocolate
1 glass (6 oz) red wine is safe in the second trimester of pregnancy. Wine is alcholic though so it mat make me more tired. It's very good got heart health!
*you should ALWAYS consult your Dr before drinking wine, even measured 6 oz of red wine every pregnancy is different*
I've been bit d deficient for years now.. maybe I'll ask my Dr if I can take my 50,000 units again per week. I live in ohio so we've been cold and sunless lately and a long winter so maybe that is it. I drink water but maybe I should try to drink more.
Is it OK for us pregnant woman to have a glass of red wine without it harming our baby?
Make sure you are staying hydrated. I had the same issue up to about 18 weeks and it turned out I wasn't taking in enough fluids and was low on Vitamin D. I also took short 10 minute walks twice a day and it boosted my energy a lot! Good luck!
