My OB prescribed me percocet for migraines

I have severe migraines & nothing has seemed to help. I was wondering if anyone else has heard of percocets helping with migraines & what the side effects would be towards the baby?  Also if anyone has heard anything else that would help that is not so heavy medicated.

My doc has me take half a phenergan and 2 tylenol. It puts me to sleep until my migraine goes away.

I can't imagine what ob/gyn would prescribe a narcotic to a pregnant woman. I definitely agree. Try a bit of caffeine with tylenol if you're uncomfortable with percent (which I wouldn't blame you). It's safer and works well.

Percocet isn't a 'migraine' medcine its a narcotic pain reliever.

Most migraine medicine has caffiene in it so do not take you meds and then drink a caffeinated drink..get online if your not sure your meds have caffeine in them and google the medication name it will tell you what's in it ....and I've never heard of a migraine medicine being prescribed for a bladder infection...that's odd

My first pregnancy I had a severe bladder infection,  they gave me percocets it caused my daughter to have a brain bleed. This pregnancy I refuse any pain pills if I have anything that causes me to be in pain.

I was taking fiorecet but you can only take meds like that till 28 weeks ...when you pick up your script ask the pharmacist to give you the run down on all the side effects and possible effects on the baby
