fluid beneath my uterus

After having three consequtive miscarriages and consequently the gynae doctors referred me to the miscarriage clinic. One of the things they do it scan your uterus to check for abonormalities. The lady who scanned me found none, but did notice a "moderate" amount of fluid just beneath my uterus. A couple of days before I had the scan Ive been noticing some lower abdominal discomfort, and now im thinking it may be related. What would be the best thing for me to do?

I went ot the GP, but I have a male GP and he wanted to do a finger exam and I wasnt too comfortable with that, so Im going again today. He suspected a low grade infection in the pouch of douglas, that sits pretty much where I saw the fluid on the ultrasound.
Im so desperate to have a baby.....

Do you have a follow up appointment with a doctor to go over the u/s? I know I had fluid around my uterus before (I too was having some discomfort) but the doctor told me it wasn't anything to worry about.  Turns out I had fibroids on my uterus which may have been causing the discomfort.  I would talk with the doctor about all that.
