My mum likes to drink alot. My brother drinks three big bottles of wine every night. My nanna gets really nasty aftera drink,my brother threatens me when he has had a drink and tells me too lose my baby, and causing me nothing but stress, and im the bad one for not allowing the baby to be around it saying im using the child as a "weapon" when all I want is for my baby to be in a safe environment! Help, advice needed:(

I don't think that's wrong it's completely normal to want your baby to be safe and I would do the same thing if I were in your shoes and as for your brother I would probably knock him stupid after you had the baby telling you to loose it sounds like your family could care less about your lil bundle of joy to come hope you get out on your own it would be what's best goodluck hope the best for you n baby

I think you should try to move out as soon as possible....I lived with my mom and her drinking habits up until like a month or two ago....it put so much stress on me and my pregnancy and I had to move....I know it is better. You should do the same if that's an option... I don't think your wrong at all.....&&if they can't stop drinking for your baby they don't deserve to be around it....your doing the right thing. I just hope that you can move out before your baby gets here!

I dont think thats wrong of u. If they are unwilling to help provide a safe environment then your baby shouldn't be around them. Smoking in the house can raise the risk of SIDS and if they drink and become angry they can become violent. Keep calling consistently to see where u are on the list

I would definitely remove yourself asap. I think that as a mother you have to do whats best for your child. Maybe if they want to see your baby its only on your terms 100% sober.

My mom drinks....all night every night....I for one do not approve of this and I never have. My mom will not be able to see my daughter unless she is sober....she only has two days off a week and of course she uses them to drink from 2-3pm til she passes out....it ***** but I will not have my daughter raised around that. My mom gets rude and says a lot of hurtful things and I don't like it. So no I won't have my daughter around it and my mom will probably never ever be able to babysit her own grand daughter. (She swore up&& down she was going to stop when my nephew was born 2 years ago) needless to say I don't expect much from her as a grandmother! It hurts but it happens....

So I do understand.

No I do not think that you are wrong for not wanting your baby around them.....I think you are making a good decision and maybe give them the option to stop so they can be around your baby and what not. If they don't well that s u c k s and it s u c k s for them but you are a mom now and you have to protect your baby! && no baby should be around drunk yelling or drunk people all the time.....(in my opinion) it doesn't seem like a good way to grow up.... && it's not.

Just protect that baby and keep it safe. Do you live with them or do you live on your own?
