is it the Intelligender test? I did that with my son and I think it's a scam. It didn't work. It was fun to try, but I wouldn't do it again.
i've never even heard of them---how are they supposed to work?
yes it is the intelligender. glad to hear it was a scam before I bought it. There were 7 reviews. 6 said it worked and 1 said it did not. Chance I guess. i can wait another couple months to find out for sure.
Yea, that's what I did. I'm sure we all know that u/s is the only way to tell. =) Actually I took every online test, drano (do not recommend), intelligender, and even the chinese lunar calendar...they all said girl and I had a boy! lol...oh well!
jessbbg...you are suppose to use urine to perform the test. You put some of your urine in the cup they give you (it has some sort of particles in it) then you swirl it around and read it within 10 min. and a certain color means boy and a certain color means girl.
I think it's a scam, too. Doctors who've reviewed it said there's no way to determine gender using a urine test. Plus, $30-40 is A LOT of money!!! I'd rather spend it on baby stuff.
exactly. I was surprised to see it at walgreens, I guess. i would never put total faith into it, but I thought it would be fun. Wanted to talk to others who have used it. Once you put the word "scam" with something, it doesnt seem nearly as fun anymore. haha. thanks for saving me $30!
lol too funny, kj. yeah, i agree, i was intrigued til the scam-sticker was applied. man it'd be nice to be sure though... I had my ultrasound and they said 80% sure it's a girl... and i've had a feeling from the start that we're having a girl...
but i'm TERRIFIED a boy will come out! Ive seen it happen to friends, and heard about it from so many more... ugh. i've bought so much girl stuff already, i'm just scared. i really wish there was another way to be sure! it'd be nice if this wasn't a bunch of malarkey ;-)
yes - someone would be laughing all the way to the bank with this one and its not the person forking out the money for the test!
The test is based on the pH of your urine which is effected by what you eat/drink and is not related to the gender of baby. The "claim" that the test is 82% is based on data which is not scientific and biased.
me and my hubby did it for fun. it said i was having a boy along with the chinese calender we go on the 21st for my 16 week appt so hopefully we will find out what we are having and if these old wives tales and intelligender worked! I think that test if more for fun factor
