If you are looking to loose weight and like the taste of grapefruit, My husband lost almost 50lbs in a 6 month period by eating one grapefruit and drinking one glass of grapefruit a day. Hes not too big on rice unless its in a casserole..but im sure i could fix casseroles and sneak veggies into it as long as i puree it small enough where he cant tell. I can also bake brownies from scratch and add zuchini or carrots. Most of the veggies i will have to sneak in and since hes with me at the store i will say its for my lunches or snacks :)
Oh and i have also convinced him to switch from the processed bagged chicken nuggets to homemade chicken nuggets! Healthier AND cheaper! :)
My husband is about where yours is when it comes to pickiness. I make lots of stuff from scratch don't fry much. Try baking fish or chix without skin. Bake potatoes or slices with just salt and pepper. If he eats hotdish use skinless chix breast with rice little bit of milk/cream and butter doesn't have to be a lot. Google low fat quick recipes there's a lot to try!
I just spent some time on pinterest looking at healthy recipes he will never know are healthy! Lol
i like to sneak in veggies in a meat loaf. i add grated carrots, onions and celery. once its mixed with the meat you can barely notice the carrots. also another great thing, like the grapefruit, is apple cider vinegar. you take 1-2 tablespoons before major meals. some people lose a lot of weight in one week. you should research apple cider vinegar (raw) and see if its for your family. its also great for a lot of other things.
don't forget to dilute it in a glass of water so you don't hurt your teeth.
hope you can make a good meal plan everyone will enjoy. : )
