stripping membrane

so tomorrow I have a doctor's appointment. I was going to ask if she would strip my membrane. I'm 39weeks 4 days, not dilated. do you think she will?

I had 5 done. But I was 42 weeks 3 days before I went in labor. My doctor let me go way too long. My first sweep was at 40 weeks 4 days.
If you get started now then maybe you'll have a better outcome than me. I had a very hard labor/delivery. But I'm pretty sure it was all my doctors fault. The csection itself wasn't that horrible. It was way worse in my head.

how many sweeps did you get before you actually went into labor?

Your Dr can force you open. My Dr had to force me open with my first baby. I definitely recommend it. My Dr forced me open then did a membrane sweep. I had to have several done before I went in labor so the sooner you start the better. There's no reason the baby should stay in there longer than what it is now. It just raises your chances on having a csection. I wouldn't recommend that for anyone. I'd demand it from your Dr. sometimes they just let you go too far. Good luck hun!

U have to be dilated in order to get ur membranes stripped :/ cuz she has to be able  to get to waters sack. And then she strips the lining around it.
