For the baby I packed - 2 coming home outfits (2 cause i couldn't make my mind up so i will be deciding the day off lol), 2 pajama sets and a 2 plain onsies, socks, hat, mittens, and receiving blanket. I doubt I will use any of this besides the coming home outfit and mittens because most hospitals provide everything else. I just brought extra clothes to be safe. Also a few diapers and wipes. Hospitals provide that but I don't know how much I'll get to leave with so I want to make sure I'm prepared for the ride home.
For me I packed- coming home outfit, slippers, socks, undies, my own pads, nursing bras, 2 tshirts, 2 camis, & some sweats to wear while I'm staying there in case I wanna get out of the hospital gown. Also toothpaste, toothbrush, hair brush, hair ties, shampoo & conditioner, soap, lotion, towel, phone charger, breast pads, and I think that's pretty much it. I probably over did it. But I always ovrr pack just to be safe. Lol anytime I go away for a day or 2 I pack like I'm going away for a week.
Also snackss for you and if someone is staying with you. They might not feed you after you deliver depending on the time and the cafeteria is closed.
Oh and also for you a camera, laptop if you want and a cell phone charger.
The hospital will provide alot of items for you and baby. For baby I would only pack mits and socks, Also a take home outfit. With my son when I would put items on him they would take them off and put their stuff on. For you I would pack nursing bras if you plan on BFing, Comfy clothes, all your beauty supplies if you perfer and a going home outfit.
You can google it also that's what I did with my first. The hospital also gave me a list as well
For baby I packed in her diaper bag:
2nb onsies
1 0-3 months
Pair of socks & mits
Passy, cuz I don't like the hospital kind
Some extra diapers and wipes,
Im a ftm mom, and ice heard some hospitals provide that stuff, but I'm not sure if mine does.
And I.also packed two swaddling blankets.
I have not packed for me yet though!!!
