Just make sure you stay away from sick people and use hand sanitizer and buy some sanitizing wipes if you go to the store. Baby will be ok just be cautious about what youre doing. Pay attention to what you touch and wash your hands before handling your baby when youre out

Sadly I had to take my daughter out when she was 2 days old. At the hospital I delivered at, they discharged me after 24 hours and then she had to have her 2 day check up. Since me and my SO were young we couldn't drive, so we had to go on the van that my mom goes on since she is in a wheelchair. So we had to wait so we had to bring her to the store. We kept her in the front pack bundled up though. She did really well.

At three days old my dad brought me to his baseball tournament. People are too cautious. Your baby will be fine, just be smart about it.

I took mine out a week or so later but mine was also a summer baby. But in my opinion people seem over cautious. Just because you have a baby the world doesn't stop. Groceries needed bout, bills need paid, etc etc. I think as long as baby is bundled up you are fine. At 2 weeks old my parents had me out at the races.

Theres nothing wrong with taking your baby out at 2 weeks old. I did with both of my boys. As soon as we were signed off to be fine by the midwife then theres no problem :)

There is nothing with with babies going out after they are born. If that was the case, the hospital would not let you take them home until 6 weeks is up. It's just and old practice that hasn't seemed to die down yet. You should just always make sure that baby is dressed for the weather! 100 percent, and if not, do not take them. But there is no medical reason to not take baby outside of home.

As long as you have her bundled up and warm there's really no problem. Most drs will tell you to wait til they've had their shots though.

You gotta do what you gotta do! i didnt leave the house with my son for a good month, but it was hard.. and depressing for me to stay in for that long. theres nothing wrong with taking them out as long as they are bundled and kept away from sick people as much as possible.
