inducing??

So like is a thing where in certain states if you want your baby out before your due they induce you? I only ask because were im from they only induce after your due date or if there is a problem which the baby needs to come out. I see alot of post about ppl being induced because there tired of being pregnant. Your supposed to wait 40 weeks before the baby comes.

She was getting super uncomfortable, but in my opinion pregnancy isn't the most comfortable thing and I would rather keep my baby comforable than myself...

That's crazy did she have a reason for inducing?

Here in California it just depends on the doctor. My current doctor has only performed 7 c-sections this year for the insurance company that I have. My friend asked her doctor to induce her at 37w and they did.

My Dr and hospital allows inductions at 39 weeks.

Yeah I totally wish I could go the full 40 weeks, I'll almost be there, but I wanted to go all natural. With next baby, my husband will be out and I will have more of a say so. Not that my doctor isn't wonderful, she is. Its more or less his higher ups. Luckily, she understands the situation!

Good luck to all you mama's with the rest of your pregnancies! :)

Same where I'm from. They haven't asked me if I want induced (i dont). But I guess it depends on the doctor and your circumstances.

Here the hospitals will not allow (yes the HOSPITALS) will not allow induction on a first time mother before her due date unless there is a proven medical reason. For STMs+ they will not allow drs to induce prior to 39wks without a medical reason, and they let very few induce at 39wks bc it simply isnt necessary and hasnt been around long enough to know the full side effects to babies and mothers in the long run. they are still constantly changing the practices of inductions for a reason. But yeah its different in all kinds of places. i dont complain my drs office is the top in the state with the lowest c-section rate because they simply leave mothers alone.

It depends on your doctor. Sometimes there are extenuating circumstances that if your doctor feels is okay, they will induce. My doctor is a military doctor and because my husband is military and we have to move days after my due date, and I have to have my baby at this base, they are inducing me at 39+2 weeks. Wasn't my choice, but the military basically runs my husbands life, my life and now my sons.

Yes there are states where you can "schedule your birth". Im all for it when its medically necessary but other than that I dont see what the rush is.. it wont last much longer it can cause issues and distress on the baby by forcing it to come when its not ready
