ljo964 I didn't like the smell either! I just held my nose and drink as quickly as I can...lol
Ijo964 I also had a hard time drinking the tea so my sister told me to add coffee and suger to help with the taste and it did work for me
Castor oil is a no no. You could get the runs which wouldn't be good while in labor and you could just Google the other reasons why it's not safe. Be safe ladies ! (:
Cumin, oregano, and basil tea are supposed to do the same as cinnamon tea
I hate the taste and smell of cinnamon, what can I substitute it with?? coz I dont wanna try castor oil
I could barely finish the first cup, don't really feel anything yet though.
Dont add cummin! Tastes awful lol I tried it before my appt today and been having contractions(: just started another pot. No cummin this time. Taste way better.
Is it proven to be safe ? This is interesting, I've never heard of it before
I added a little sugar and held my nose!the smell and taste gets to you afterwhile. I was just struggling with my second cup!
Oh okay then, anyway to make this stiff taste better? It tastes absolutely horrible
Sam0716... I wasnt referring to you I was talking to the other ladies . Im with you ! I always do my share of research before trying ANYTHING especially if It can put my baby at risk!!!
I know but I tend research the heck out of things to make sure it's something I'm okay with and that's what popped up on medical sites
Sam0716 I boiled for about 10 min with the sticks ..and let it simmer for 5. I only drunk a cup and added a little surgar. Yea there is alot information available!an its just tea by the way..lol
By the way if you Google it a lot of information comes up with it being a natural inducer because it aids in thinning and dilating the cervix, it also helps stimulate contractions if yoyr body and baby are ready for birth
How long are you supposed to boil the cinnamon sticks?
Please dont come on my post with any negativity! If this post isnt pertaining to you then no need too comment!
So no research or dr advice just some people on a public forum where anyone can say anything?
Cause a lot of people have posted saying it works.
Why is everyone switching to cinnamon tea? Saw one woman post about it a few days ago saying a family member told her to try it and now everyone is. Its red raspberry leaf tea thats supposed to help with labor.
Good luck! Let me know how it works for you. Im thinking about trying this sometime next week
