Clothing

So I have been getting more 0-3months and 3-6months clothes for my boy due in July. I have newborn stuff but I worry that he will grow out of it so fast, since he is already measuring a bit bigger than average. Anyone else do the same? Not to mention all of the fall/winter clothes are on sale and he will be 3months come colder season.

With my 1st child I told everyone to get 6mo and up. It was three best decision I ever made! He was almost 8lbs at birth and within the first 8weeks he had already outgrown all the 0-3months clothes he had.

I bought a ton of clothes with my first but he also spit up a lot and we went through a few outfits a day :( we also went out a lot (I have a huge family and we always have get togethers) so I did use most of my clothes. We kinda did the same with this baby, I have all my 0-3 months stuff and am now working on 6+ months. For my baby shower we are doing a bathtime/bedtime theme so I am only asking for sleepers and onsie sets as far as clothing goes. Not sure if you have a once upon a child where you live but if the clothes stay nice you can sell them to them or exchange them. That's what I do when they out grow clothes :)

The first time I was pregnant we bought so many things I didn't even use them all. I had about 17 brand new 0-3 months that never got used. I wouldn't buy newborn because the baby will only fit in them for about the first month or so. My babies were all over 8lbs so they shrunk and didn't fit after the first wash lol. Good luck.

I didn't buy much for my daughter because I was given so many clothes from friends and family members so I have a little of everything. But I believe I'm going to have a big baby and don't think she will be in newborn long or at all. Hopefully she will be able to wear her coming home outfit! That's what I'm most worried about.

I'm due in July as well!!!! What I'm doing is only buying 6-9 or bigger depending on how they run for the fall/winter.....my baby shower is in June and I'm pretty much gonna get a whole bunch of 0-3/3-6 for that.....after the baby shower I will look at what I have and what I need and go from there!!!!!

Thanks Gatorgrl, I find myself always picking up something when I'm out in all different sizes just to have. I guess I won't truly know about tiny sizes until he gets here : ) With the 4D scans they were able to tell me is already 1lb 1oz and that was over a week ago, so who knows?!  Was at Wal-Mart today and they had TONS of super cute onsies for only $3 or less. I was in heaven grabbing multiple sizes. And Cali_momma, at least you can save the clothes you aren't able to use and give them to others who may be having a baby.

I think I good start is 10-15 of each size. Since they can go threw so many outfits a day. You can always get more if needed. But your going to also be washing them frequently due to the yucky milk smell so you should be fine ladies :)

Its such a hard task! My first grew really fast was only 6"5 at birth but was out of newborn really fast and was always in a bigger size.
My daughter was the opposite wore premee the first two weeks and then newborn a month.
They can grow so fast!
You seem to be doing fine though. What I always did was leave tags on up until time I new it would get worn then wash. I took many things back with my Daughter to exchange for different sizes. And mostly used just onsies from Gerber or carters they are super comfy and can be really cute they are practical inexpensive and easy. And I got granimals bottoms from Walmart. Or circo from target :)
Its nice for them to have cute clothes for little occasions but mostly just went with little comfy stuff .
After my first I learned quick what I didn't need lol now I'm on 3 :)
