kegals do they really help??

People.keep telling me to do them. What does doing them do? And do you recommend to forge to? Im36 weeks and thesis the first time someone has told me to do them.

I meant to say bowell incontinence is a lot rarer not rather. Lol

Yes you should do them. They stregthen your pelvic muscles which is the muscle that helps open and close the opening to your bladder, uterus, vagina and bowel. Having a weak pelvic floor muscle results in urine incontinence, and sometimes even bowel leakage (though a lot rather) having a healthy and strong pelvic floor also helps with giving birth as the muscles are able to move the baby down better, doing kegals also helps get your vagina back into shape after giving birth and helps to not make it so loose after as well. Mostly do then just so in future when you sneeze or cough you dont accidentally wet yourself. I dont exercise at all for anything but i always do my kegals. :)
