You actually want them to use the later due date BECAUSE every day counts. If they want to induce you for being pregnant "too long", you have 3 extra days to either go into labor on your own or to let your body better prepare for the induction.
Since I'm guessing no one is planning a home birth, it really doesn't matter if you go into labor on 35+4 instead of 36+0 because the hospital will treat signs of prematurity as they see them without telling you to find another care provider as soon as labor starts. In fact, you may even have access to lung-developing steroids slightly later into your pregnancy because your fetus is "younger".
Idk if this will help but when I first found out my due date was dec 21st, then after my ultrasound they changed it to dec 12th. They told me that they would only change the due date if it was at least two weeks off. Now my doctor said I probably won't even make it to december...

I have my first tomorrow and my last period was weird so we don't know if I'm 6 weeks or 10. Estimated, but both are possible and I really want to be further along. My mom had a lot of miscarriages and if I'm further along I'm closer to the end of my first trimester. Im excited and scared all in one.
I agree hun babies grow at different rates so once u start getting bigger the days change a little
I measured about 4 days earlier than expected in first trimester and now he is measuring at my original date. So they can be off a tad.
Mine was off a little but the other way.. when i went for ultrasound i was 17weeks and 6 days.. baby was at 18 weeks 3 days... but my doctor did not change anything
Sometimes they're wrong. They moved my due date from sep 26 to Oct 2 then back to sep 26 I had her sept 23 and the doc said shed stayed in too long
