So I went to l&d at 5 this morning because my contractions were 3-5 minutes apart,  They kept me until 8 am, because I haven't dilated past 3 cm. Well my contractions have been closer together since then and I lost the rest of my mucous plug,  should I go back?  Or try to tough it out?

My last baby I went in a 1 am 4 cm dialated & contractions 4 minutes apart. They sent me home told me to take sleeping pill & rest in my own bed & it would help. I woke up at 5 am contractions 1 minute apart. By the time I got to hospital they were 30 seconds apart & I was 7cm   had her a couple hours later :)

This sounds weird but it works if u rub your nipple your contractions will grow stronger I have done it before with my last baby and they kept me in the hospital and I delivered her same day. Hope this helps!!

If you can stand it, if I was you I would try to have sex. Let your stuff absorb the fluids from you and him orgasming and then go back. It will cause your contractions and also cause you to dilate. In texas, the keep you no matter what when you are dilated to a 5.
