should i push the pains?!

Okay!! Im 37w4d my dr wants me to try starting myself rather than getting induced! Well you know how they nipple stimulation causes contractions and to stop once they are 2min apart? NOTHING causes contractions for me except for standing/squatting/walking and once i lay down they stop and the baby pushes down hard for a while lol. Im 3cm 70% effaced. So should i keep walking/doing excersises?

Do what YOUR doctor tells you to do. Your doctor is the only one that knows what is best for you and your baby. Doctor says try to bring on labor naturally then do so. Try to do more walking and just have someone there to help brace you if u need it. I know the ball helped my aunt when she had her last baby and I'm going to try it once I get far enough along for it. Good luck and I'm praying for a safe delivery.

I would wait till Monday that way you can see what your fluid levels are, if they want to do induction in the hospital its more controlled and they can monitor the baby.  And if ur fluid levels are stable or up they may not want to induce till later or they may let u go on your own.  Either way good luck Monday.

I was induced with my first child the day I turned 37wks due to fluid issues also the dr said baby can get infections with low fluid so I just went for the induction... The put a small pill in and then started the putossin ( I have no idea how to spell that lol) anyway after that I dialated pretty quickly and was in labor for about 4-5 hrs only... So hopefully you can go through getting induced even quicker since ur already dilated... Good luck!! I'd keep walking or the bouncing ball sounds like a fun alternative and maybe you wouldn't get contractions

Sorry I just read more and I get it lol.  But if your doc says to try inducing then I would have to say bedrest is not best for you and baby like the other lady suggested.

Just curious as to y an induction is already being discussed if your 37 week's?  Is there a medical reason?  I'm not trying to be rude I'm just curious

What I mean is forcing things can ad more stress to the baby and with your fluid issues that should be avoided.  Bedrest and drink lots of fluids would be best in ur situation.  Good luck.

The contractions stop for a reason, it means its not time yet.  Good luck.

If you have one try an exercise ball...I sat on mine constantly and bounced on it. I was 3 almost 4 cm by my 38 week appt...and I swear it was from bouncing on that thing :)

I would defiantely stick with it. Even if they stop if you can get yourself to have more than you  can help yourself dilate
