Sometimes that's what's best especially once you get towards the end of your pregnancy. I would talk with the supervisor and see what they could come up with as far as your special needs at work.
If you refuse your Dr can contact your employer and demand you go on light duties for medical reasons. He wouldn't suggest it if there was no reason for it
Hi there. Do you have a complication in which it would be dangerous to work? is that why the doctor is saying to cut down on your hours? When you work your long shifts, I'm sure you are exhausted!! That's a lot of hours in a week. But do you feel like it hurts you in any real sense in terms of the pregnancy??

If you can afford to get by on 70 percent pay, then I'd do it. Are you planning on returning to this job after maternity leave?
