castor oil

Hey moms, was wondering y'alls opinion on using castor oil to induce? Have any of you tried it?? If so howd it work??

38 weeks today tooo! Due date buddies! Congrats! I do have sommmmeee progress hes dropped into -4 station just trying to get little booger drop even more!

Its so gross lol :) I tried with ny second baby and all I got was a toilet full of poop lol :) but he didnt have his first bowel movement inside of me so that was good :) best of luck!

Agreed! ^ im 38 weeks today and I feel like she's too cozy and wont be moving any time soon! Lol

Youll get different opinions. I will do castor oil before I get pitocin thats forsure!

Dang so it could either go good or bad for the mommy and the baby!

I heard it isn't good for you or the baby. It could cause the baby to have the first bowl movement while still in the womb and can hurt the baby. It can also cause the baby distress and end up in cesection.

my mom did it with orange juice had my sister that night just pooped all over the delivery table. I wouldnt do it unless adviced by my doctor it could cause first bowel movement.
