medical intervention

I'm not one of those people that wants to go all natural but I do not want my labor rushed either. I don't want them to strip my membranes, give me pitocin, or break my water. I feel like it cause added stress on baby and increases the chance of a c-section which I also don't want. I also don't want forceps or a vacuum used when I'm pushing my girl out. I don't sound crazy do I????? I however will take iv meds when needed but not epidural if I can get through it.

I'm on the same page I don't want an epidural only iv meds and only if I feel I need it then I'm willing to have them break my water if it doesn't break before I'm dilated no pitocin either this is my first and I want it all to go as natural as possible our bodies are made for this

Good Morning, I don't want medical intervention either. I will accept iv meds and a epidural if needed. I dont think your asking too much especially after watching the movie "the business of being born"

Yea I wrote up my birth plan. I just hope they don't think I am tripping lol. My mom is like u need that epidural but I don't think she was trying to hear me so when I give her this birth plan I don't feel like hearing anyone opposing views.

Not crazy at all! My advice would be to write out a birth plan to give to youre OB stating all these things, and another for whomever will actually be there when you deliver. That way they know ahead of time what youd prefer. But be flexible. Sometimes they cant accommodate if youre labor isnt progressing.  My water didnt break with my two oldest and the stress of a long labor made breaking it necessary.
