Navy wife. It was at least two weeks before my husband was able to call. After that I got a call maybe biweekly.

When my husband was in boot camp (marines) he didnt get to call at all except once and it was his moms that he called and he could only recite something saying he is safely there it sounded like a recording...

When my hubby went to basic I didn't hear from him unt the last month. I only got 2-3 calls the whole time he was there. I got letters every week.

Im a air force wife. My husband is deploying next month for 8 months! He will not meet our son till he's 6 months old!

If he just got there it could be a week or more before you get anything from him. Calls are not goimg to be a day to day thing. Though of course every baisic and drill sergeant is different. My husband he had to earn his calls, and one time he wasn't able to cus other people in his unit screwed up. It *****. But keep an eye out for letters, thats how I knew his adress, he didn't call me to give it. Stay strong, it'll go by faster than you think.
