military

I'm  engaged and 20 weeks pregnant with my first baby girl. My fiance is in the military though. Anybody else have a partner who's in the military? I'm curious about how my life will be like. We plan on getting married before he leaves for basic and plan on moving me on base with him.

My Husband Is In The Army, Life Isn't Always Easy With Him Being Gone But I Love Being Able To Suppor Someone :) He Might Miss Finding Out The Sex Of The Baby Though So That's Going To Be Rough

Marine Corps wife for three years. Been through 2 deployments, one kid, several moves and a three thousand mile drive with a toddler. I loved it. The other wives can be really stuck up sometimes but if you can find a friend they'll be there forever and through anything. Military SOs are some of the strongest ladies I know.

Army wife for a year now:) I enjoy it for the most part. The constant not knowing is what bothers me but other than that its great. Things are always changing. Id marry before basic though!

I have honestly enjoyed being a military spouse. Just like anything you get out of it what you put into it. I would say caution on friends it seems that gossip is a big thing when we wives get bored. Lol

My husband has been in for ten years. Its not so bad. The deployments are rough, but not unbareable. The biggest thing in maintaining a healthy relationship is communication. Congratulations!

Hi. I'm married to military...my hubby is Air Force. I was a single mother before we married, and I have to say (my perspective) it is very similar. When the military calls or his shift changes, he has to go running. You have to learn how to do a lot on your own.
It will get easier once he is transferred to a base. There's activities for kids, and spousal support...and I do have to say...there is nothing quite like your man coming home to you in his uniform. :)

God luck to you. :)
