mommies who have been induced... I need opinions

I am 38 + 1. And my doctor said she could induce me tuesday... I am extremely scared to be induced though... is it bad? I heard it makes labor and delivery alot more difficult

This isn't fair!!! :( my doctor won't induce me and I'm 40w1d everyone on here is getting induced before my due date and I'm stuck my doctor won't do it and I'm over my due date ugh!!!!!!

Ask what your bishop score is. A score lower than seven or eight for a ftm isn't high enough to indicate a successful induction. I definitely wouldn't let them break your water until you're far enough dilated (I'd say a minimum of six cm) that labor is unlikely to stall. If pitocen or cervadil isn't starting your labor and there's no medical need to induce, you can just stop, go home, and try again in a few days. UNLESS your water is broken, that is.

I got induced at 36wks 2d because of severe preeclampsia. I was dilated to a 1 when we started 80% effaced. After 36 hours of labor I had an emergency c section.

I'm getting induced right now and it's easy and I came bieng dilated but not dilating more I've been here for 17 hours

Every person is different. I had to be induced for medical reasons at 38+5 and I was naturally dialated to 2 on my own before being induced! My labor went terrible, my little guy could not handle the pitocin, and I had to have an emergency c-section. My best advice is to do everything you can to have your baby without being induced! It is different for everyone but from my experience I would have never wanted to be induced if not for a serious medical need in my situation.

I was induced with my first son. I wasn't bad.
I went to the hospital at 8pm cause my amniotic fluid bag had a hole they induced me because i wasn't dialating i got induced at 9:30 pm at 11ish i was fully dialated and i had my son at 1:47am

After being on bed rest (extremely high blood pressure) for two months they decided to induce me and I was in labor for 34 hours with contractions at a minute and 40 seconds apart for the last 7 and only dialated a two. At 28 hours of barely to no progress they suggested a c section.  So my experience is if your not dialated at all I wouldn't suggest it. Every person I know who wasn't somewhat dialated ended up with a hard time. Those who were at least a little were fine. Good luck.

Iv also heard that, but my mom talked to me and said she was induced 3 out of 4 times. She said it is the same as natural.
