Iron question?

At my last apt they were thinking my iron was low but didn't no for sure yet,for awhile I had this bald spot looking circles on my tounge also i thought maybe that was the reason. so I immediately started taking to two tablespoons of blackstrap molasses and after four days those spot on my tounge were completely gone..but the Dr. got my test results back and it was low and prescribed iron pills 325 mg two times a day. I feel like that's to much, so I've only been taking it one time a day. How do you know if it's working and if my irons going back up?

Honestly instead of taking so many pills just eat food with more iron in it, when I went to my appointment my doctor told me my iron was low and I was close to being anemic so she prescribed me a lot of pills (which I never took because I've seen too many recall commercials) I've started eating more food that contains iron, I later went back and she said my iron looked good and I didn't even have to take one pill to do so.

I also take 2kinds of iron because im anemic ever since before i got pregnant. My dr said that i need to take two since i have low iron and my body wouldnt supply enough for the baby. I guess you should follow your dr. You can also eat foods that are high in iron.

^^ Your wrong. The baby will get everything it needs from you it will make you anaemic if you don't take them.

You need too take both your pills of iron . It's extremely important for your baby . I also have low iron & I take both my pills & my blood count is just on the line of good blood count . That iron is extremely important for your baby , if you don't have enough iron the baby isn't getting enough oxygen to its brain like it's supposed too . Take both your pills daily , everyday !!!!
