my egyptian motherinlaw helping?

Im five weeks preg and i have no idea of what i should do to be healthy for my baby. I am currently living in egypt with my husband. I feel like my dr here and all egyptian drs dont care or know too mych about eating healthy and this during pregnancy. My mother in law keeps coming to visit and she wants to cook for me and clean and everything. So my husband told her it is alright but she should make me healthy food though and i need milk for calcium and veggies. But she puts sooo much sugar in my hot milk. Does sugar take away from the calcium goodness of the milk? and also what kind of food should i ask her to make for me... Its not like in the US i can get everything healthy or i at least have some idea of what is healthy.. Any advice would be appreciated. its harder to find certain herbs and things here to help with a more natural approch

Its very hard to take too much od folic acid, but still possible. My doc, according to my epilepsy, during pregnancy prescribed me 5mg per day :) but at pharmacies you should easly get 0,4mg pills. Two od these pills would be enough per day if you are not ill, or not taking other medicines

What is more important during first 3 months is folic acid! Really important for the baby :)) then in second trimester think about any  prenatal vitamins

Everywhere here I just read "prenatal vitamins", well for me its always better to look for all vitamins natural way! Syntetic way is always worse than taking those vitamins by food. Just eat a lot od fruits, veggies drink 2l od water. Also plenty of seeds are very good.
