anyone have a negative reaction to your baby name? :(

Today i went to my old work to get food, and an ex co worker asked what my sons name will be.. I told her and she had a grossed out look on her face and said 'uhh oookaaaay' and walked away. I dont really care what she thinks personally but i felt like it was such a rude reaction thatthat it sort of hurt my feelings. My family like the name we decided on! So screw what anyone else thinks!

Everyone loved the name we picked for our son besides my cousin and her mom. They both did the uh ok.... Thing and when I asked my aunt what is wrong she just said nothin just different I honestly don't care at all..... But we are naming him Greyson Berry (Berry is my husbands grandfathers name who passed away and Logan was really close to him) I get more of a weird response at Berry than anything really but it means a lot to my husband and I am not taking that away from him :)

No body cares for the girl name we picked out but I love it. Our girl name is Takoma Genevieve. And people also think our boy middle name is weird. Boy name is Damion Forrest. But when people react weird I just smile and say well we love these names. So screw what anyone else thinks.

That is actually the reason we aren't telling anybody until he is born. In the town I live in everybody names their kids common names, and I don't like common names. But we are naming our son Ryder. Although I have seen it before nobody has that name here. We also have a daughter named Kiara.

Oh yeah. My sons name is Raizeek (Ray-zeke) & people ALWAYS have something negative to say but oh well,  screw them.  It's unique and my husband and I loved it so that's what We went with.  We call him Zeek. I'm thinking of naming this baby Zhyla if it's a girl.  The name is Bosnian and again stuck out to me.

my aunty called her boy anarchy. I like it. its different! the name didn't get a happy reception from the family. my mum still calls him jessie but anarchy just laughs. people do get over it. they've got no choice they have too. :))

Mine is unique I always get the "huh?" kinda reaction but me n my bf always explain...we picked Abcde its pronounced Ab-sid-ee...I think its pretty different especially the way its spelled like the alphabet lol

Vaelen (vay-len) Elvis Lee. The middle name iss my husbands middle name.  I only said the first name when she reacted weird and walked away... I was like damn i didnt even say the middle name!

Yup my family hated both the names we picked for boy and girl. Just ignore them, they can be carry around a baby for 9u months and name their own baby
