Has anyone else been diagnosed or went through incompetent cervix?

So we found out we are having a boy so we are excited, but then we also found out that I need to have surgery this week or we will loose him. I have an incompetent cervic so it is shortened and dilated already. I am kinda scared this is my first pregnancy and we dont want to loose him. So we decided to have the surgery the problem is I have to be on bedrest and financially we are unsure. My boyfriend is looking for a job with no luck yet so its kinda scary. Anyone have any advice or comfort in these areas.

They should have seen..I could even see the gap in my cervix..like I said it is rare. I thought everything was normal..I'm ready to have the surgery so I don't have to worry as much.

Hmm, well my baby is low and I have placenta previa. I was having issues with bleeding but my cervix was closed. I have dishcharge but I think it's normal. Hmm, I guess when I had my ultrasound they would have told me if something was off! I don't want to worry for nothing,  but it's always good to be sure about what's going on.

When I went for my ultrasound my doctor has someone who specializes in checking the baby and everything. She couldnt see my cervix very well and asked if i have noticed anything.. jus pressure and discharge.he is sitting really low..She finally got a good look at my cervix and you can see it is opening. It is very rare 1-2% of women have it, and most do not know until they have lost. I have researched that the surgery is successful so everything should be fine jus stressed financially.

I am very lucky we havent lost him, this is my first and I researched that most women are not diagnosed until they have lost them. my doctor is really good, and they have a special tech who did this ultrasound to ensure everything was ok.. the baby is good so its jus me. I am glad you know now its awful loosing a baby im sure. I am so grateful we found out early.

Yeah i was 19 weeks when I lost my son. When I have the surgery I will be 14 weeks. I will have a lot of restrictions. Believe me I will be taking it easy. Everything will work out.

Since my job is strenuous on me she is suggesting im on bedrest after surgery until 34 weeks. I am coming to terms with it and that everything will be ok. I cant imagine loosing our baby so we are doing anything we can.

I was told the same thing. I have my surgery in two weeks. Never had this done before either. How far along are you? I won't be on bed rest. I guess because the doctor caught it in time. That's how I lost my baby last July. My advice to you is don't stress and take it easy. Good luck to you.
