Quick question!!!

My appointment for my U/S is in 2 hours...I'm supposed to drink 20 oz of water...when should I start? I already have to pee for the second time, and don't want to be like last time with DS where I was waiting for two hours after I was done drinking the water because my appointment got pushed back. Obviously I want to be done drinking the water before I get there so it has a chance to fill my bladder, but when should I not pee past and when should I start drinking the water?

Good Luck :) I was told I didnt have to come with a full bladder... But I do with my 20 week one?? So confusing LOL..

I did that 20 oz water thing before my ultrasound and my bladder was too full.  They made me empty my bladder before they could even do the ultrasound so I wouldn't worry about it too much.  Just get some in but I don't think you need all 20 oz of water.  Good luck.

I usually pee up until about a half hour or so before my appt and then chug water the rest of the time

I know, right? people who don't have kids have it a LITTLE easier (Although if you're taking time off of work to come it really ***** too) but now with Kahlan she's either with me (which is a nightmare) or she's being babysat (in which case I feel guilty taking so long) it's like wtf...can't ANY medical place be on time?

To be fair, my MFM was always on time though.

Lol. I love the hamburger buns thing, and the turtle one...lol. They crack me up. Well my sipping turned into chugging cause I got thirsty sipping...so almost 10 min later...I'm almost done with my 20 oz. and I still have at least an hour until I'm in a room with the radiologist, since I seriously doubt that I'll get there, check in and be called back right after...UGH! I wonder why they make people arrive 15-20 min early to sit around and wait 10-20 min AFTER their appointment time...that's 25-40 min of wasted time...

Well 1 hr 4 min out and I've started sipping...I'm not gonna get it all down in 4 min, and I have to pee AGAIN already and I just went like 2 min ago...I don't think the full bladder thing is gonna be a problem. Wish me luck ladies, in hopefully less than 2 1/2 hours I'll be telling you for sure if this really is a girl or if it's really a boy and 15 weeks was just a little too early for his pee pee to be showing! Healthy is my main hope, but I honestly wouldn't mind if they said it's another boy!!! Except for the fact that not a single boy name sticks out at all.

Anyways, I'll update ASAP when I get home, and hopefully I'll be able to get some pics!

i NEVER do the water thing right...I just grab a bottle of water and sip on it on the way over and make sure I'm done by the time I sit in the waiting room. I've never had anything less than a bursting bladder, lol.

You need to have it down an hour before your appt... At least that's how it's been for me everytime
