Yes I got induced with my first and it was HARDCORE! Because they are forcing what is supposed to happen naturally. My son was perfect though... I was just in pain and yes I BEGGED for the epidural!
I was induced with my last just 2wks ago and yea its a little more painful then going into labor on your own only because the contractions arent as gradual as it happening on its own but if they do the pitocin like my docs did it should still be a kinda gradual thing I wana say they upped it every hr or so but one my contractions got to 2-3mins apart and bby was low enough they broke my water and lowered the dose cause my contractions were getting too close but they did alooot to help me be comfortable and I was in labor 10-11hrs and didnt get an epidural either so its possible it just depends on how your body reacts and how strong your contractions are/get but I think you can do it trust me I was scared too cause of all the "horror" stories of being induced and c-sections that happened cause complications of being induced but turns I was way more worried than I should've been everything went fine oh that urge to push was alot stronger than I remember with my 1st too I couldnt really control the urge so I ended up pushin a lil too soon but it still turned out fine good luck and sorry my post was sooo long
My sister had both of her kids via induction and said it was fine. (I should mention she doesn't have a high pain tolerance at all either) lol. But I think it differs with each mom and each pregnancy just like any other birth.
im nervous about getting induced too. I will be getting one on my due date if hes not here by then. im due december 7th, My doctor doesnt want me to go past my due date. plus im not dialated or effaced. Good luck to you!
I'm not planning on having an epidural that's why I'm more nervous. And I'm also scared that I won't be able to have her normal, because my mom couldn't for all 3 of my siblings. I know that might not have anything to do with it but still.
I was induced with my last (#3). She was born perfect. I had no epidural for all 12 hours of labor. However, it was the closest I've come to getting one. You go from nothing to contracting in minutes when you are induced so they are stronger & longer. If you are having an epidural I think induction is no different than any other delivery. Good luck.
I hear it is much more difficult than regular labour because the contractions are stronger and longer. But you can handle it I know women who have done it drug free.
