What is the pap smear for? And how do you get through getting blood drawn? Any tips?

The Pap smear is to test for cervical cancer. They swob the inside of you. With me I used to cry lol with needles even though I used to have to facial piercings lol. But now I just still there and get through it. I think more about the rubber band they tie around you hurting me more. I hate that my arm turns purple and starts to hurt. But honestly getting blood drawn is way easier than getting shots. Because you can barely feel the needle go in and when they take it out you pay attention more to the PPP sound rather than them pulling it out.

Pap smears are for numerous things.  Most of the Pap smears I've got done are to check for infections and bacteria. And I typically don't like the idea of getting blood drawn but the best thing you can do is just eat a healthy breakfast, or lunch before you get it done.
