Don't warm in microwave. At hospital they should provide a lection specialist & she should help you. Get as much support as you can to breastfeed if you have to supplement it will be ok. Talk to the nurses & let them know you really want to breastfeed it's not selfish it's wanting what's best for baby. Drink lots of water. & then drink a lot more. Eat healthy. You can do it momma you can but don't be to upset if things don't work out it's not easy I breastfeed my first 2 for not even 2months but my 3rd I had to wean at a year bc he was biting.

Dont use a micowave. It creates hot spots and can burn the baby mouth. You need to use a bottle warmer or a thing of hot eater put the bottle in till it heats up emough.

Pump Pump Pump, plus if you were able to get the breast milk in her it helps with jaundice. The more milk you remove the more milk you will make. Until you get breastfeeding established use a newborn formula because it has more of what a new baby needs. Also you heat the bottle in a pot of water on the stove. If you do it in the microwave it heats unevenly and could have hot spots to burn baby. Milk should always be heated in bottle on the stove in a pot of water because it heats it slow enough to be safe and not bother nutritional value.

Bottle feeding done right is very time consuming and lots of work. My kids were prone to thrush if everything was not cleaned properly.
They say not to boil the bottles anymore because it is not needed, even washing in hot water with a bottle brush and dish soap my babies would still get thrush.

Wash bottles in soap and hot water with bottle brush.
Put bottles in a pot of water and boil three minutes once it come to a rapid boil. Let bottles set in hot water till it cools. Remove bottles and put on a bottle rack or clean dish rack to air dry.
Used boiled water or bottle water to make formula.
Heat bottle on stove.
Only use bottle for one feeding.
After one to two hours dispose of a room temp prepared bottle.

My little brother was in NICE for 3 months. My mom pumped religiously and our entire freezer was completely full of milk. If you are really wanting to breastfeed start pumping!

I feed my daughter   enfamil  prosobee. It depends  on the  baby. My hospital  offered similac or enfamil  prosobee.  I never have warmed up my daughters bottles. I buy room temperature  baby water and just mix the formula and give it to her. Good luck  momma.
