My first was very long but my doctor had told me it should be. They will help you be as comfortable as possible. Either way its all worth it the second you're done.

Yep they do that put gel on send u home and wait they try and assist but Aldo try and let ure body take over a long process ESP if they are inducing you early. My induction with my first went well but slow very slow. Be patient it's making your body do something it doesn't want to yet x

My cousin actually had this happen to her. She went to be in induced and it didn't work, she wasn't thinning or dilating so they sent her home and she went back a week and a half later to be induced. This time was after her due date and it worked.

They don't send you home until you have your baby once you've been admitted

I'm being induced Friday it'll be my second one I had an induction with my daughter as well ..with my first induction it only took 8 hours ,painful contractions epidural failed and I had a pretty bad episitomy...hopefully this time around it'll be a better experience....I've never heard of them sending anyone home because part of the induction is usually getting your water broke ..good luck

I was induced with my daughter. They wont even attempt to induce you unless your ready. It works, it just depends on the individual on how long it takes.

Never heard of that. Once your admitted for that... You don't leave without baby. Atleast here anyways. My first went 28.5hrs with no progress. They just stepped up the medication.
