Finally my labor story!
Sorry its so late, on november 9th I went food shopping, cleaned the whole house top to bottom and then started watching tv, I noticed my baby wasnt moving as much as he usually did (only kicked twice that day) so I posted on here and you all gave me peace of mind (thank you) my boyfriend made us some very spicy fajitas (wasnt trying to induce labor) afterwards we were watching tv, I was lying down and suddenly felt a big bust inside me, it made me jump up, I stood up to feel a gush of fluid come out, (my waters) and contractions started within minutes of that happening, I went to the toilet, put a pad on and changed my clothes, I timed them and they were lasting about 30 seconds long under 2 minutes apart, phoned my midwife at about 8:00pm and she told me to meet her at the maternity unit at 9:00pm, its not open 24hours so it was shut until she arrived, my boyfriend phoned my mum and she came straight over to give us a lift, it got to around 8:30pm and I couldnt handle the pain anymore so we headed over to see if the midwife got there early, I was shouting with pain in the car ride over, got half way there and I felt the urge to push, got there at 8:45pm and the maternity unit was still shut, had no choice to rush to a&e, I started pushing in the car, the nurse rushed me into the first room she saw and put me on a bed, they gave me gas and air as I didnt have time for any other pain relief, they phoned my midwife and she had to rush into a&e to help, at 9:11pm my baby boy was born weighing 7lbs 2oz.. I was only pushing for about 10 minutes before he arrived, my afterbirth took longer to come out than he did haha, I had two tears but they decided not to stitch me, sorry its such a long story..
He was the first baby to be born in a&e (small town), I felt bad afterwards because a little boy was in the room next door asking 'why is that woman screaming' haha but my little one just wouldnt wait any longer.. Got to go home at 4:00am :) im so glad it was such a fast labor!
