Why are you having a csection? Atleast you know ahead of time! I found out I needed an emergency csection right after they gave me the epidural!! But my recovery wasnt that bad.getting out of the bed the first time afterwards was the hardest and I cried like a baby but by the next morning (with the pain meds) it was still painful to get up but bearable.when I was discharged and got home I changed clothes and immediately was able to  go do some major grocery shoppimg and the first night I needed my husband to pull me up to get out of bed because I no longer had the bars like on the hospital bed to pull myself up but by the next night I could push myself up  alone. Although I had a few days with some major swelling in my feet within a week I felt much better.im now almost 3 weeks postpartum and with just a few pains (nothing serious) I feel close to normal.i feel as if it was a pretty fast recovery! Good luck and I hope all goes well.also walking around while still at the hospital really does help even though it was painful if I walked too much!7
