Carotene converts into Vitamin A, and that strengthens your immune system. If you don't want to be craving carrots as much, try taking a little extra vitamin A and see if that eases your cravings.
As long as you are taking your prenatals, I wouldn't worry about it. There is such a thing as eating so many carrots that your skin becomes bright orange, but it doesn't sound like you are in that league.
Google says it could mean you have low iron but every appointment I have all my stuff checks out good. Thank god its not chocolate.
